Asleep on the Hay

In between building fences, mowing and moving cattle, we’ve been putting the finishing touches on the store. ย The other day our son Alex was working on a cabinet that became a coffee bar and our dog Molly was napping in the hay nearby.

Heelers (Molly is 3/4 heeler and 1/4 black lab) always like to stay close to their people and Molly was peacefully snoozing in the hay while we worked nearby.

Then our other dog Grizzly noticed Molly had a better spot than his. So of course he came right over and woke her and licked her . . .ย ??????????????????????. . . all in a plot to get her to share her comfy spot in the hay.

Molly is wise to his tricks but let’s him think he is fooling her.

And while the doggie drama played out, Alex is almost finished with the cabinet.

And didn’t the little coffee bar turn out nice?

It’s all so good; we adore Molly and Grizzley – crazy mutts! Can’t wait to see the Ranch again, but it will most likely be 2014! Everything you are doing is FANTASTIC and we are behind you 100%!!!!! I’m so glad Alec is part of your AAR TEAM!

Thanks Karla! We are sorry you won’t be able to make it to AAR this summer, but hopefully we will have more accomplished by next summer ๐Ÿ˜‰

Seems like Alex has much more talent with woodworking than his dad did. BTW, have Rick by his poor son some cool safety glasses before he has an AFOSH/OSHA inspector come by…
Do you keep the “Cowboy Coffee” in the back?

    • Brenda says:

Alex is more patient with wood – I guess that is the same thing? Woodworking is still not Rick’s idea of fun.

AFOSH/OSHA – I think you have been in the military and California too long ๐Ÿ˜‰
